ISQM: Audit Quality Indicators

2 June 2026

Online: See Details for Timings

This session focuses on audit quality indicators (AQIs), emphasising their role in measuring and monitoring audit quality rather than replacing documentation or reducing costs. AQIs are crucial for small and medium firms to demonstrate policy effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Helen highlights that AQIs should be customised based on firm-specific risks and integrated with the system of quality management. Examples include using AQIs to address engagement partner workload and root cause analysis. The session concludes with a call to action for firms to experiment with AQIs to enhance audit quality and strategic decision-making.
